Hofner Galaxie Guitar
This instrument was given to me by a friend who got it from another friend who found it collecting dust in her house. According to trusted sources, it is a Hofner Galaxie. There are a number of different models in that line, however, so more specific info would be most welcome.
Made in Germany, I think you know that. Not too different than the Elko, same vintage, same wacky vibe. I wold clean off the rust, string it up, and blast it through the Kalamazoo. Rock und Roll. meinen Herr!! Congratulations.
I really like European guitar designs and fabrication techniques of yesterday. They really had a lot of original ideas that were very unique even by today’s standards.
